Carborundum

Corundum, corundum abrasives, brown corundum corundum, and corundum powder are the most economical abrasives suitable for both dry and wet production processes, especially for the treatment of rough workpiece surfaces where the surface after treatment is required to be fine. This kind of synthetic material with sharp shape and corners is only second to diamond in hardness, and is often used in occasions with strict requirements for iron pollution. It can cut very hard materials, and can also be made into spherical emery for processing workpieces with precise dimensions to achieve extremely low roughness. The high density, sharp and angular structure of emery makes it the fastest cutting abrasive.

The emery is produced by electrofusion of high-quality bauxite. The natural crystal structure of carborundum makes it have high hardness and fast cutting performance. At the same time, carborundum is often used as the raw material of bonded abrasives and coated abrasives. It can be recycled in standard sand blasting equipment, and the number of cycles is related to the material grade and specific process.

Application scope of carborundum: aviation industry, automobile industry, casting industry, semiconductor industry, etc

The applicable process scope of carborundum: surface electroplating, painting, glazing and pretreatment before painting PTFE; Deburring and descaling of aluminum and alloy products; Mold cleaning; Pretreatment of metal before sand blasting; Dry grinding and wet grinding; Precision optical refraction; Grinding of minerals, metals, glass and crystals; Glass engraving and paint additives
