1. Rubber cover:

Obviously, the “dullness” we refer to here is caused by improper selection or use of abrasive cloth rolls when the abrasive grains are not exhausted. Soft contact wheel or pressure plate can hardly make abrasive particles cut into the workpiece, resulting in flat edge. The abnormal wear of the abrasive cloth roll seriously affects the service life of the abrasive cloth roll and greatly increases the processing cost, which cannot be ignored.

 

3. Blocking:

 

When the abrasive grain gap is quickly covered and filled with chips before the abrasive grain edge is completely blunt, so that the abrasive cloth roll loses its cutting ability, blockage will occur. There are many reasons for clogging, mainly due to improper use, material processing, selection of abrasive cloth rolls, etc. The contact wheel or pressing plate is too soft, making it difficult for abrasive particles to penetrate into the workpiece. The abrasive cloth roll is mainly in grinding state. Friction heats the temperature of the processing area, causing the abrasive cloth roll to produce “welding” debris and cause plugging. The solution shall be hard contact wheel and pressing plate, or sharp tooth back contact wheel and pressing plate, small diameter contact wheel, etc. Due to the high speed of abrasive cloth roll, it is difficult for abrasive particles to cut into the workpiece effectively. Blockage and burns can also occur. At this time, reduce the speed of the emery cloth roll. Soft materials (such as aluminum, copper and other non-ferrous metals) can easily cause clogging on the surface of abrasive cloth rolls. The solution is to use sparse abrasive cloth rolls and coarse abrasive cloth rolls under the condition of meeting the roughness requirements. Use grinding aids such as emery cloth rolls and lubricants with high brittleness. The processing surface of the materials easy to block is smooth. For this material, abrasive cloth rolls that are easy to scratch, such as grease, coarse grain, etc., shall be overcoated. The product has good chip removal and anti clogging performance.
